Why we quote width by drop

A curtain light is sold as two numbers — how wide it is and how far it hangs — and both have to beat the window or the wall it is covering. A curtain narrower than the frame is the commonest disappointment in this category, and it is entirely avoidable with a tape measure.

Every listing here carries both figures. Where a set is sold as a number of LEDs rather than a size, we give the size as well, because an LED count tells you nothing about coverage.

Smart, or just a remote

App control needs a phone on the same network and a working account; a remote does not. Both are stated per product so you can choose the simpler one deliberately rather than by accident.

Music-sync and pattern modes are genuinely fun and genuinely unnecessary. Nothing here is priced as though they are essential.

How we write listings

Every description is written here from the specification of the set. Where a maker does not state a size, an IP rating or a mode count, we leave it out rather than estimate it.

Tax

Shiva Lighting is a small online retailer and is not registered for GST: turnover stays below the applicable registration threshold in India, so registration has not become compulsory. GST is therefore not charged separately on any order, and no GST tax invoice carrying a registration number can be issued. The figure printed beside an item is the whole amount payable.
